David is a professionally qualified town planner, surveyor and project manager with more than 21 years’ experience working in public sector economic regeneration at a senior level. Having worked for several different local authorities, an urban development corporation and an economic development company, he is familiar with the demands of the public sector. David has led major multi-million partnership programmes in areas of incubation, innovation, cultural development, business support and inward investment. David’s experience includes: commissioning a series of incubation units and innovation centres; securing the largest UK community asset transfer bid to convert a theatre; organising a national cultural event celebrating the UK’s contemporary ceramics; setting up the first credit union in Staffordshire; and establishing sub-regional investment partnerships attracting overseas investors into different parts of the UK. A keen photographer, David has used his photographic skills recording regeneration projects, including publishing a book about a historic pottery factory which was the subject of a redevelopment project. David is currently working with an Italian photographer on another regeneration project and has several images in current exhibitions
